www.summershow2013.tumblr.com The Malgras|Naudet Summer|Show + MEMBERS CURATED or SOLO SHOW   The Malgras|Naudet Summer|Show (M|N S|S) This is our annual Members’ Group Show, it is an opportunity to exhibit at Malgras|Naudet and become a member* of the gallery at the same time.   Drop-off your work, become a member, and join us for the private view of the show.  Existing members just need to drop off their work.   DROP-OFF DAY.  Friday 31st May 2013, 10am – 6pm (or by appointment) PRIVATE VIEW. Friday 7th June 2013, 6 – 9pm (exhibition continues until 28/06) BYOB PICK-UP PARTY.  Friday 28th June 2013, 6 – 9pm (or by appointment) HOW IT WORKS > We accept work in all formats.  Smaller works are best, something that fits the ease of you being able to drop it off, anything bigger might require further discussion with us.  If the work requires power or has a specific placement/set-up, please try and let us know in advance to check we can provide the right conditions for it.  You must provide all your own equipment for technical works, e.g. if you would like to show moving image, you must provide a looped dvd, dvd player, monitor/projector etc.  Please label your work with your name, plus its title, year, materials, dimensions if applicable.  Where appropriate, please also provide instructions for the set-up of your work.  All work will be photographed and recorded on the show’s website.   The show will be fully installed, advertised and invigilated by Malgras|Naudet. + MEMBER CURATED or SOLO SHOWImmediately after the Members’ Group Show we will hold a second members’ exhibition – this exhibition will either be a group show curated by a member or be a solo show of members’ work.  The exhibition will have a budget of £500 and it will be selected from proposals submitted by members.  The exhibition will be part of the full Malgras|Naudet programme.  If you want to apply for this opportunity, please bring a proposal (no more than 500 words + images) when you drop off your work.   Membership.* Membership will cost you £15 per year and will begin from the date of payment lasting one year. We will accept payment by cash on DROP-OFF DAY or if you prefer to pay by bank transfer, you can do this by transferring the exact funds to the Malgras|Naudet bank account - Lloyds TSB, 52497568, 30-95-42- and sending us an email to confirm payment.  PayPal payment will also be up-and-running by DROP-OFF DAY and we will have a computer available for you to use this method when you drop off your work with us.   About membership: Malgras|Naudet aims to provide a series of opportunities to our members including the following –  Access to the gallery in between programmed exhibitions to either develop a short exhibition of your own work, curate a short exhibition, host an event, or to use the space to make large work.  Access to the residency space, when it is not being used by an artist-in-residence, either to create work or host an artist in residence.  We are also working on developing opportunities for members to exhibit in other spaces and to have exclusive opportunities to apply for international residencies.  (These opportunities will be offered by Malgras|Naudet based on selection from proposals submitted by members).   IMPORTANT NOTICE –  Malgras|Naudet accept no liability for loss or damage to work incurred during the exhibition.  We strongly recommend that you take out you own insurance to cover the work.   All inquiries to malgrasnaudet@gmail.com
